El modus operandi del dolor en los pensamientos de Schopenhauer y De Quincey constituye el eslabón filosófico entre la conciencia mejor y el ϕάρμακον νηπενθής. Estos éxtasis metafísicos se esclarecen en aquello que ambos pensadores del siglo XIX denominaron “órgano de los sueños”. En este ensayo sondearemos la canalización espiritual del dolor en ambos pensadores.

The modus operandi of painin Schopenhauer’s and De Quincey’s thoughts, becomes the philosophical  link between the better conscience and the ϕάρμακον νηπενθής. These metaphysical ecstasies are elucidated in that which both XIX century’s thinkers called the “dream organ”. In this essay we will survey on these thinkers’ spiritual channeling of pain.
