Sumario:
Teniendo en cuenta las ideas de Edward Said en su libro El mundo, el texto y el crítico –donde postula al crítico como un agente imprescindible en la historia del arte–, se plantean en este artículo algunos lineamientos para su labor ligada al teatro, siempre en pos del equilibrio y de incorporar el mundo del artista y del mismo crítico en toda reflexión teórica. Se propone para ello un intercambio entre los procedimientos del ámbito académico y del periodístico.

Considering Edward Said’s ideas in his book The World, The Text and The Critic -where he nominated the critic as an indispensable agent in the history of art,- this article poses some lineaments for the critic’s work linked to theater, always trying to have a balance and to incorporate the artist’s and the critic’s world to the total theoretical reflection. For this purpose, an exchange between the academic and the journalistic environment procedures is proposed.
